Daniel Rankin is a sixth-generation Florida native, born and raised in Sarasota and proudly carrying forward the legacy of a second-generation firefighter. A highly decorated Battalion Chief with over 28 years of service, Rankin is equally recognized for his creative brilliance—often referred to as “The Renaissance Man” for his multifaceted talents as an artist, musician, chef, costume designer, special-effects artist, filmmaker, writer, and sculptor.

A true artistic chameleon, Rankin seamlessly adapts to any medium or project, crediting his broad range of creative experiences as the catalyst for developing his distinctive visual language. He defines his style as a “spontaneous, inner-reflective perspective emerging from the energy of the moment,” capturing reality with bold color, dimensional texture, and an emotional depth that bridges abstraction and realism. His diverse portfolio spans abstract realism, pop art, street art, digital art, mixed media, and highly textured sculptural painting.

Rankin’s artwork is held in private and corporate collections across more than twenty-five states and is proudly exhibited in prestigious venues including Tampa Bay Rays, Ferrari of Tampa Bay, Ferrari of Naples, International Mall Tampa, Robert Graham, Naples Ultimate Garage Gallery, The Tropicana Stadium, Sarasota Yacht Club, Venice Yacht Club, and Art Ovation Hotel.

Beyond the canvas, Rankin is passionately committed to using his talents to uplift his community. He frequently paints live at charity events, donates artwork to philanthropic causes, and is known for giving spontaneous free art lessons to passersby—inviting children, families, and first-time painters to contribute to his works. Many of his pieces are collaborative community creations, sold with a portion of proceeds benefiting local organizations and initiatives.
